Bees will migrate to the prepared hive body on their own the majority of the time. After the bees have gone down to the hive body, remove the empty catch box, and slide in the metal bottom and you are ready to go. Quick empty method is to knock/or shake the bees down from the catch box and slide the metal bottom back into place. Additional catch boxes available for multiple swarms, removals, or extractions.

Catch box designed to be used with the Colorado Bee Vac vacuum top. Having additional catch boxes allows you to pick up multiple swarms or removals without combining the bees during the day. Or if you have a really big extraction/removal with 10-15 lbs. of bees you can divide them up into two boxes to put less pressure on them and keep them cooler, important on a hot day. With the Colorado Bee Vac changing from one catch box to the next is simply a matter of moving the vac top and vacuum hose from one catch box to the next. Transportation is as easy as picking up a small suit case. Designed with the large ventilation area using #8 hard wire screen to help keep the bees cool during transportation. Easy to empty by setting the catch box on top of your prepared ten frame hive body and pulling the metal slide bottom. After the bees have migrated down into your hive body remove the catch box and slide the galvanized bottom back into place and you are ready to go again.
